Definitions:
ED Trolleys: The number of patients on ED Trolleys across Emergency Departments with a decision to admit (DTA) waiting for transfer to inpatient bed accommodation.
Ward Trolleys: The number of patients awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed on a trolley on a ward following the decision to admit.
Total Trolleys: A total of ED and Ward Trolleys.
Surge Capacity in Use: The number of additional inpatient beds in operation temporarily to meet demand e.g. Day Wards / Assessment Units etc.
Delayed Transfers of Care (as of Midnight): The total number of patients ready for discharge / transfer who have completed their acute inpatient hospital care and are still occupying a bed designated for such care.
No of Total Waiting > 24hrs: The number of patients >24hrs waiting for transfer to inpatient bed accommodation following a decision to admit (DTA).
No of >75+yrs waiting > 24hrs: The number of patients who are over 75yrs of age where there has been a decision to admit that are waiting >24hrs for transfer to an inpatient bed.
